Position: Fraud Investigator

Prime Trust is seeking a Fraud Analyst who supports the day-to-day operation of the Fraud Team. The right candidate will be responsible for monitoring fraud alerts and conducting investigations at both an onboarding and ongoing transactional level while communicating emerging fraud trends to mitigate risk to the company.

Principal Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive investigations into incidents of fraud involving the use of fiat and virtual currency

Distill complex information by applying analytic techniques to make logical and effectively supported recommendations

Gather information, identify linkages and trends, and apply findings to initiatives

Assist with law enforcement investigations and information sharing requests

Enhance procedures, making process recommendations to increase efficiency and effectiveness

Independently resolve problems that require in depth investigation and/or research

Work on multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment with changing priorities

Communicate fraud trends, share best practices and ideas with peers and management

Experience and Skills

Minimum of three (3) years fraud investigations and operations experience required

Strong knowledge of funds transfer rules (e.g., NACHA)

Proficiency in regulatory and compliance laws in a regulated industry, preferably banking, payments, virtual currency, anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing, and sanctions laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance

Knowledgeable of and adaptable to various software programs and platforms

Comfortable executing independently and in a team environment

Strong ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth, and dynamic environment

Values and demonstrates professionalism, self-motivation, and sense of urgency

Strong ability to synthesize complex information and make clear, concise, and actionable recommendations

High degree of initiative and ability to meet expectations with limited direction and oversight

Must have a good sense of humor 


Bachelor’s degree required


CFE, CAMS, or other relevant compliance certification preferred
