Position: Funds Processor

Job Brief

Prime Trust is seeking a Funds Processor that will be responsible for a variety of regular and recurring moderately to highly complex operational and accounting functions to support the Funds Operations department.

Principal Responsibilities

Large volume wire origination and processing, ACH origination and processing, process bill pay checks, Digital assets processing, certifications, credit card processing, EFT fraud reviews, foreign item processing, stop payments, dormant check handling, NSF/Exception item processing, adjustments, (checks, ACH, positive pay), suspense/returned items, large item review, IOLTA/IRETA remittance, GL/Bank control reconciliation, and research requests

Manage the check processing functions including ensuring correct posting of transactions including encoding check information, identifying check errors, such as unsigned checks, missing date, or items not written out in the right amount. Process checks including scanning, sorting, batching, and preparing to be processed. Communicate effectively with multiple departments to coordinate, organize, and process check payments.

May draft new procedures, and provide updates to existing procedures as needed, for the purpose of streamlining operational functions

Responsible for special projects as assigned by the Manager of Escrow Operations.

Provide back up to all areas of the Escrow Operations department when needed

Provide support to customer service staff, and serve as point of contact for escalation of operational issues, and assist in resolving problems

Experience and Skills

3 - 5 years successful experience working in a centralized operations at a bank, trust company, credit union, savings and loan, or other financial institution, is required.

Ability to effectively troubleshoot problems and take a proactive approach in issue resolution

Excellent written and verbal communication, and presentation skills

Ability to respond effectively to inquiries from internal team members and customers, and demonstrate excellence in customer service at all times

Working knowledge of word processing, excel spreadsheet, and database software programs

Ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as accomplish work assignments under minimal supervision, and tight schedules

Must have well developed analytical skills

Strong initiative, and sense of urgency in tackling new project, and proven ability to successfully and consistently execute sound judgment

Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner

Plan personal timeline to meet specific task goals

Works efficiently with a pre-defined schedule or set of existing priorities, but can also effectively prioritize situations and emergencies


BS/BA degree or higher is a plus

Job Type: Full-time position

Salary: $40,000 - $60,000 annually (DOE)


Flexible PTO/Paid holidays/Health, Dental, and Vision insurance for employee and dependents, which is currently 100% paid by the company, after the first of the month following 60-days of employment/cell phone reimbursement up to $100 per month
