Position: Audit Manager

Job Brief

Prime Trust is seeking a Audit Manager that will support Prime Trust’s Internal Audit Department in providing independent assurance of the Trust Company’s internal controls.  The Audit Manager will assist the Chief Audit Officer in the oversight, coordination, and direction within Internal Audit to enable consistent and sufficient coverage across the Company by developing and maintaining strong working relationships with the various departments throughout the entire organization and the executive management team.  This individual will need to stay informed on all regulatory affairs and initiatives requiring the development of a working relationship with key stakeholders and key members of the Company’s management team.

Perform internal audit work for all areas of the organization to support the Company’s overall audit plan.  Internal Audit assists the Company in accomplishing its strategic objectives by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the organization’s governance, risk management, and internal controls.  The individual hired will be required to perform internal audits of the various functions in the Company to evaluate and determine the adequacy of the internal control environment and ensure efficient and effective operating policies and procedures are in place.  These audits will result in exposure to sensitive information that will need to be treated in a professional and confidential manner.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing an audit team and overseeing audit engagements and projects with a focus on assessing the risk management practices, operational and IT controls
  • Lead complex internal audit engagements with minimum supervision, keeping the Chief Audit Officer informed of the progress of the audit 
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of the annual audit plan for the Company to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of the internal control environment
  • Ensure timely and complete execution of audits in the annual plan 
  • Lead the execution of continuous monitoring and adjust the audit plan as necessary
  • Leverage data analysis and insights across the enterprise and across all stages of the audit lifecycle
  • Support the continuous improvement of audit methodologies, audit approach and related practices with particular emphasis towards collaboration with key partners, leveraging the use of analytics, business intelligence, and other enabling approaches, technologies, and tools
  • Direct, counsel, and manage a staff of internal auditors assigned to engagements and review audit plan, findings and reports for sufficient scope, accuracy, appropriateness of conclusions and compliance with requirements
  • Assist the Chief Audit Officer in the coordination and management of regulatory requests and examinations with regulators and external audit
  • May be required to perform reviews and investigate problems on an emergency basis
  • Demonstrate a high level of quality work, attendance, and appearance

  • Participate in special projects and assignments and perform other duties as assigned      

Experience and Skills

  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant experience in auditing or assessing IT, SOX, and operational controls.  Preference will be given to applicants with FinTech or digital asset-related audit experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in managing staff with experience in leading, coaching, and mentoring direct reports
  • Strong knowledge of the banking industry, products, and services and associated risks, including accounting, internal controls, and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with Executive Management, the Audit Committee, and the Board of Directors
  • Ability to observe and understand business processes ensuring processes are documented completely and accurately
  • Ability to apply audit standards through practical application
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to provide leadership, supervision, and training
  • Proactive in researching business best practice concepts
  • Strong organization and follow up skills including the ability to handle competing priorities and meet all deadlines
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members and those contacted during the audit process without sacrificing integrity or impartiality in reporting the company’s deficiencies
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex environment and willing to adapt to change
  • Ability to identify sensitive issues and facilitate communications in a proactive manner to avoid surprises
  • Demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude


Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, and/or Business, or a related field required


Certification in one of more of the following: CIA, CPA, CISA, CISSP, CISM, or Commissioned Bank Examiner designation preferred

Job Type: Full-time position in our corporate headquarters in Las Vegas, NV.  Culture is energetic, interactive, and growth oriented

Salary: $105,000 to $125,000 a year (DOE)
